NICK SHORT - (March 2026) It’s with deep sadness to inform you of the passing of Nick Short a former County President (2006) and member of St Neots BC, who passed away earlier this month. Our thoughts go out to Meg and his family at this time. We will keep you updated with any arrangements of his funeral.

 

BRIAN BROOKS - (March 2026) It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that, former Treasurer at Littleport Bows Club, Brian Brooks has passed away. Our thoughts go out to his wife Wendy and family. Funeral details to follow

 

CATHY FRASER - (February 2026) It is with deep sadness that I passing of Cathy Fraser. Her funeral is at Cambs Crematorium, West Chapel on Tuesday 24th February at 12.15.

 

RON REEDER - (February 2026) Following the passing of Ron Reeder in Addenbrookes Hospital on 2nd January, a celebration of life will be held at St Gerges Church Littleport on Monday 2nd March 10am. Our thoughts go to  Margaret and her family at this time.

 

JAMIE STEWART - (November 2025) It is with deep sdness that I pass on the news that Jamie Stewart, Cambridge and County Bowling Club, has passed away. In 2009 he was part of the Men’s National Triples winning side with Robert Drew and Richard Catton and then in 2010 went onto win the British Isles. I’m afraid I have no further details at this stage. Our thoughts are with his brother Ollie, at this time.

 

JEAN SKATES-WILSON - (November 2025) It is with deep sadness that I pass on the news that Jean Skates-Wilson aged 83, Coton Bowls Club passed away. The funeral service will take place at The Bar Hill Church Centre, Hanover Close, CB23 8EH, on Tuesday 2nd December at midday. All welcome to the wake at Girton Golf club afterwards, to celebrate Jean's life.

 

ANNE GRAINGER - (November 2025) It is with deep sadness that I pass on the news that Anne Grainger, Newmarket Avenue Bowls Club, has passed away. I’m afraid I have no further details at this stage. Anne was a previous member of our club and wife to Past President, John. Our thoughts are with her family at this time.

 

DAVID SMITH - (August 2025) It is with much sadness that we inform you that David Smith from Fordham Bowls Club lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully in hospital in the early hours of Wednesday morning (August 6th).  Our thoughts are with his wife Sue and his family. - Funeral arrangements to follow.

 

OLLIE DIGNEY - (February 2025) It is with deep sadness that we have to report the passing of Ollie Digney, member of Coleridge BC.

 

RICHARD JACOBS - (February 2025) It is with deep sadness that we have to report the passing of Richard Jacobs, former member of Cambridge University Press BC.
